How to get a job with the CIA https://www.military.com/veteran-jobs/how-get-job-cia-and-what-its-work-there.html?ESRC=at-ease.nl&spMailingID=6042071&spUserID=MTA5Njc4Nzg2ODgzS0&spJobID=1100803184&spReportId=MTEwMDgwMzE4NAS2. It states "This is where the military pretends to separate you, but you secretly still work for it and the CIA. It mentions Marine Corps scout snipers as good candidates. This would include special ops persons from the other military branches. And The CIA Directorate of Operations (DO) website states "All new DO officers joining the elite team are required to live and work under cover. Training provides you with the skills needed to live and work under cover, but only you can decide if hiding the truth from others (including many family members, friends, and close acquaintances) is a commitment you can accept."

Also, notice in two of the three disappearances below there is a Fort Ord reference. Nothing I can find online refers to this but when I was in the Navy, I knew fellow sailors who had crypto gear training on Fort Ord. I worked with crypto gear including at the National Security Agency where I met a CIA person. I would guess that more went on at Fort Ord than the government has ever stated. I have tried to state only the relevant parts of the below disappearances.

Lt. Paul Whipkey, left Fort Ord, saying his destination was Monterey, California. Two soldiers cleared out his room at Fort Ord including his personal possessions. The only way his brother, Carl, found out about Paul's abandoned car was by accident when a enlisted man called him about the car. The man later called back saying that the information about the car was classified. Lt. Col. Charles Lewis, his commanding officer, was surprised that he was declared a deserter, and Charles was told not to look in the case anymore. He then remembered a strange encounter that occurred while he and Paul were stationed in Nevada in 1957. He claims that two men in civilian clothing approached Paul and another soldier. The unidentified men did not report to operations first, which they should have done for security reasons. Carl asked for their identification, and it verified who the two were, although he did not see what agency they were from. The men met with Paul several more time within the next few weeks, and his personality soon began to change. Charles now believes that the two men may have been from the CIA and that they may have met with Paul in order to recruit him into the CIA and have him go on secret missions.

Justin Burgwinkel. While he would be visiting his girlfriend, Iolanda Antunes, who lived in Santa Clara, eighty-five miles away, he would suddenly say that he would have to leave and return to Fort Ord. He told her that it would be better for her to not know what he was being involved with. On June 4, 1993, at 4:30am, Justin did not report to his kitchen duties. Three days later, he was officially reported AWOL. However, instead of disappearing, he went to Iolanda's apartment that night. He called his parents and told them that he was not AWOL, and that he was "working". He refused to explain almost anything about what was going on except he told her to watch the movie White Sands and that everything would make sense. It is about arms smuggling, the FBI, and the CIA. Iolanda thought he might be working for the CIA. Finally, at around 10am on June 12, Justin left Iolanda's apartment for the last time, heading for Fort Ord. He was never seen again.

Robert Borton enlisted in the Marines in 1965. A few days after he arrived in Vietnam, two military personnel met with his father, Robert Sr., and told him that he was reported missing in action. In summer 1976, Robert Sr. claims that he was approached by two strangers who claimed to work for the Department of Defense. They told him that they had a letter that changed Curt's status from "missing in action" to "killed in action"; however, he refused to sign it. Greco claims that the military would not confront and force family members to sign papers in a parking lot and that Robert Sr. must have been mistaken about the incident. He, however, claimed that they approached him several times in public places, and that he eventually signed the papers. They claimed that it was for his own safety. He later received a check for doing so. Robert's cousin worked for a security company and ran credit checks. One day, he entered Curt's Social Security Number into the computer, and it came back with "invalid entry". When he asked his supervisor about it, the supervisor told him that it was never issued. That same day, he claimed that as he left work, a man approached him wielding a pistol. The man told him that it was in his best interest to not do what he did earlier (enter Curt's SSN) again. He believes that he was threatened because he had discovered evidence that Curt was still alive.

I am quite certain that these three people joined the CIA. This has been mulled over before but this seems to show a great possibility that this is what happened to them. Also, times do change. In the past, it may have been completely standard to leave one's family and friends behind completely with no word as to what happened to them. The CIA now states that a person can decide whether to tell family and friends but I know that people at NSA had to hide everything that they worked on. They were not told to hide the fact that they worked at NSA but that they could not discuss anything with anyone with reference to their work or information which they had pertaining the U.S. Government activities.

Why we are looking for them:

I don't. I just want to give information to their families or anyone who might help their families in any way.
