Date: 8/23/2020 4:15:00 AM From Authorid: 5940 Greetings and salutations Mayuka! Well, pre covid I was busy plotting and scheming to try and take over the world. But much like a mad scientist that has a major accident in the laboratory, things haven't gone the way I envisioned. Somehow the world has lost all common sense and I constantly hear the theme song from the Twilight Zone playing in my head....I should've stayed on my lounge chair. Good to see you! |

...Hi Mayuka! Sorry to hear that your ships been grounded temporarily but I'm sure you'll get it off the rocks as soon as you can as soon as you can. You sound determined. Pre-Covid, I was busy plotting ways to prevent Hey Larry from taking over the world. Perhaps its just me but I don't think his idea of a 24 hour broadcast of the old Bugs Bunny/Road Runner show is an improvement over what they're televising now. Perhaps it is. What mostly causes me concern is when I go out and see all those masks everywhere and I wonder if it will ever end and kids will be free to go out and play in the sunshine without having to wear one for the rest of their lives. I too play a few games on my tablet and have recently gotten an internet connection after a hiatus of many years. I made a vow to myself to be less of a troll/jerk online (it's not easy). We'll see how it goes. Stay safe! |

Date: 8/23/2020 11:23:00 AM From Authorid: 21435 Mayuka Hey there, lady. Good to read you. Life sure can throw us a curve ball, every now and then. (I've got the bruises to prove it, too.) Looks like you have the right attitude, though. Never give up because, "this to shall pass." I'm doing well enough, I guess. The plague and the unrest have taken their toll, but I still amuse myself as much as I can. USM is always a good place to come and unwind. Take care of yourself and come when you can. Write on....... |

It is so good to see you here Mayuka! You have always been such a bright spot here. My hubby and I are doing very well. We bike along a river trail 10 miles and try to do it 2 or 3 times a week. We just celebrated our 48th wedding anniversary and each day is better than the last for us. We got news this week that is good and sad ... our daughter and her hubby are moving across the state to buy their first house. We have never lived more than 15 miles from her, so 400 miles is going to seem like so much. Such is life I keep telling the knots in my stomach and tears. I just need to show them only my happiness for them. Anyway, don't be a stranger ... we love seeing you Mayuka. |

Good to see you :-) my last post was 2-3 years ago. I've since moved back near my hometown in NY. Covid 19 it's been a blessing and curse for me. I had my first child, a boy named Jace in January after 10 years of trying to conceive and 2 miscarriages. Due to the virus I've been home with my son the last 7 months. I was teaching from home from mid March until June and I return to the classroom next Tuesday. We are also buying a new home and moving in the next couple weeks to a new town. With the virus I sadly know people who have lost their battle or who had a tough road to recovery both friend and family. The world is a crazy place right now but I try to stay positive. |
