I'm waking up to the dog barking, February 14, just another Tuesday
I know what lies ahead, it feels like another blues day
Paid all the bills this past weekend and only spare change sits on the night table
Peanut butter and jelly crackers and CNN news on the cable
Working in the cubicle labyrinth there are red roses and red strawberries everyplace
Sitting alone at my desk with my rosy, red face
A sad trip home, I struggle to open the door
You understand me, more than I can give you credit for
A sloppy kiss welcomes my entrance and I light the red candle and fill your water dish
Everyone has their flowers and candy and I'm left alone with my dog and tuna fish.
