Entitlement: What's Your View?

Greetings fellow USMers . Today I was wondering what your thoughts and perspectives are regarding the word ENTITLEMENT. Do you think people are entitled to take the law into their own hands because of what they saw or heard on t.v. or social media? Do you think breaking the law is alright because you are being asked to do something as simple as wearing a mask? Like disrupting a commercial airline flight? After all your rights are being violated? Feel free to give thoughts or examples pertaining to this topic and make everyone think....

...Good evening Mr. Grouchy! If you're talking about my right to go around unmasked and either spread
this virus or take a dose of it home with me, I don't think I'm much entitled at all.
I do hate wearing the thing when I'm even close to other people as my exhalations tend to blow right
into my eyes and dehydrate them even more than they already are. When I'm wearing reading glasses and
attempting to check out meats in the deli section of the local grocer, all I get is fog.
Even so, I do realize that we are being requested to follow these protocols because there is a very REAL
danger at hand and not following these precautions is a violation of everybody else's right to a healthy
life.
For health reasons, I go out cycling at night and, once away from everone, the mask goes into my pocket
unless it's a particularly "buggy" evening and the mask prevents me from eating a lot of winged delights.

...mostly, I only like to take candy from babies when I'm actively parked in a spot for those with disabilities.
It just tastes so much sweeter and they're not old enough or large enough to pull any Kung Fu moves on me.

...the farts is with me.

Date: 8/15/2020 7:23:00 PM  From Authorid: 21435    Hey Larry Ahhhh, the "E" word. Once, I complained to an old hand that other companies were giving their employees a turkey at Christmas time and our company did not give anything. I went on to say that I felt all employees were entitled to a little something extra at Christmas; a turkey or (heaven forbid) a fruitcake. He told me "Boy. You ain't entitled to nothin' but a paycheck, if you show up for work." Take care of yourself, my friend. Write on....
Date: 8/16/2020 7:07:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 5940    Wise words indeed Kronk. As I've traveled through life I have seen many things disappear that were once commonplace. Such as Middle Class America, the whole concept of the American Dream. Now I am relying on winning the lottery....
Date: 8/16/2020 10:38:00 AM  From Authorid: 5301
...I remember the good old days too Kronk. We'd get an annual bonus, a turkey, a card from the company,
perhaps a little tipple and a handshake from the "higher ups" in the company with the potential to "sneak out"
early on the last day of work prior to a major holiday such as Christmas or, possibly on New Years Eve.
Within a couple of years, we got the turkey, card, tipple, handshake and "sneak out". Times changed again and
the turkey was still there, impersonal card, handshake too, the tipple was abolished (a good idea)and the
really sneaky people slipped out early. The peons had to stay for the duration.
This eventually devolved into the card and a handshake. The next year, it was a card and the execs hid out or
sneaked out early. You didn't get much. The last years you were given a glare if you even got near the execs
with any look that approached an expectation of praise or recompense for your hard work.

Date: 8/16/2020 8:54:00 PM  From Authorid: 5301
...Dear fine citizens of France; please treat these people with extra snootiness.
Thank~you
