The people are dancing and singing a general feeling of good cheer I have to sit this one out because I am too scared and consumed by fear
What would they think? What would they say? If I did not sing well, or dance the right way?
I watch the people that play games by daylight in the park I feel isolated, like I am sitting alone in the dark
The people worship on Sunday singing their hymns and saying their prayers Yet I sit numb among them, drawing a blank stare
My friends have moved on so there is no one to spend idle time There are some days that I just sit around the house and do nothing but cry
I have lost contact with my family, two brothers that have not aged well Two wives that have stolen their souls, sold them to Satan, who now laughs loudly in Hell
For I sit here alone and tired, forty-three years young To a past that has faded and a future that rivals none!
