Dalmatian, All Mine

  Author: 67744  Category:(Poetry) Created:(8/8/2020 12:03:00 PM)
This post has been Viewed (734 times)

The Dalmatian rides the fire truck with the fireman as they encounter each disaster
Both return unscathed, all the while remaining close to his master

When the fire bell rings he scurries about and jumps upon the moving truck
As long as the Dalmatian is the passenger the fireman will always have good luck

You can connect the black dots on his coat of white
Hear him bark at the fire until it is nothing but ash at the end of the night

The Dalmatian sits proud atop the fire truck as it passes by slowly in our parade
The Dalmatian is the best companion, ask any fireman on any given day

...I'm a fireman and the durned dalmatian just heaved all over the floor of the truck. Some pal!

...but Hey Larry...you COULD be a poet but you just don't know it...the words are in your head so just flow it.
