What is the meaning of life? That is what I am searching for
Each and everyday when I walk out the door
Can't find it at a church, McDonald's or Macy's
At the zoo or in a garden of daises
I searched at the movies and the local bar
I thought that I came close when I wished upon a star
Dreams are just the fantasy I need to hold it in my hand
I need to feel the reality, I need to understand
Was it when I was with family for holiday cheer?
Or maybe at Times Square bringing in the new year
Can I find it on my birthday or on the local news?
Maybe contained within the film at eleven or maybe I should just ask Mr. Magoo?
Could there really be no meaning to life at all?
Even though some people say it is written on the bathroom wall
Maybe the secret is held; just buried in the city of Atlantis deep beneath the sea
This haunting question will surely, always follow me
An answer that can never be found
It leaves me bewildered spinning endlessly, around and around!
