Do you remember when some body cared to hear the things.
That I once had to say?
And do you recall when feelings mattered?
And they did not just get in the way?
You said I was different then.
Now you just say you knew me when.
Maybe if someone of us had a time teller.
I think we would do it all again.

Do you recall when it was only distance?
Was all that kept us here at bay?
I guess that was before my mind imploded.
And I had to tuck my senses away.
In my mind you were the one.
But you had decided that we were done.
My soul resonates your smile my friend.
Just because I knew you when.

Tonight's dumpster diving memories.
I wonder if you ever think of me.
The future made it seem like love could never end.
Because I knew and loved you then

Someday soon I'll be in Heaven.
Do you doubt that I will see you there?
Do you recall when we could count on each other?
Even when noone else really cared?
Time has hit us all so hard.
And silenced that old guitar.
I would only have changed the ending.
