Date: 7/25/2020 12:55:00 PM From Authorid: 5940 It's time get off my lounge chair and reach the nearest soap box. Honesty and common sense are sadly lacking in our current society today. Instead it seems our country is being run by corporations, lobbyists, wealthy people who can pay for the influence that is not directed to the average American. Needless to say Trump is not a leader and he is way too vain to care what people think of him. And, he's a LIAR! Biden needs to choose wisely as you said. Hopefully it is a strong woman and color is not an issue for me but for others it is. We need leadership, pure and simple, and bring back the middle class. Now, I must retire to my lounge chair. |

Date: 7/27/2020 10:20:00 AM From Authorid: 21435 Ginger A lady should be able to "get political" on her own website and I will defend that right, `till the end. "Land, rivers, ocean and wildlife;" all are very important to secure, because it's all been severely compromised, already. I guess I am a "tree hugger," so taking any more of our diminishing natural places, upsets me. I think that the media "slamming" of any reigning president of these United States is a mistake. That advertises to the rest of the world that we are divided and could be construed as a sign of weakness. As far as the upcoming presidential elections go, I'm almost to the point that I think we need an entity to run a purge on our current system and try it again, `cause what's going on now, is unacceptable. Who that miracle worker might be, I dunno.? God, maybe? Take care of you. |
Date: 7/28/2020 12:20:00 PM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 998 Yep Kronk, I knew you could speak to the nature all around us, as your part of the country is abundant in beauty and resources. We watch as special interest groups and nature conservationists work tirelessly to get protection laws inacted to safeguard our land, water and wildlife. Some of these concerns took years and years to put into place, and with a single pen on his desk and no say-so from Americans, Trump has wiped out those protections. Pollution is returning already to very sensitive wetlands and habitats that will not rebound from this abuse. The ability for businesses to dump pollutants into the air and water has now reverted to decades ago levels and it will only get worse. We as a people have learned better, but that isn't good for the bottom line of businesses. What a shame, and that is only one area of extreme importance that this administration has devastated. I could give you examples of literally dozens of other areas that Washington State is now suffering from at his hands. |

I do agree with you Kronk on the constant ripping down of our President and how that appears to the world. I actually miss the days when the occasional wrong words spoken or a stumble might create jokes for the days humorists. Definitely past presidents had lapses in judgment especially in their private lives, but it wasn't put on display like today in the media. So, a miracle worker you say. Yep, I have a strong want for better choices ... it's getting pretty late in the proverbial day for something better to pop up for us. I do pray that God has a good plan for all this. |
Date: 8/1/2020 9:20:00 PM From Authorid: 16131 We definitely need to toughen up in this country with leaders who have our best interests in mind and not just themselves. I always love your posts Ginger, they are always thought provoking. |
