Gerald Ford made a comment as he left the office he was never elected to or even wanted to be at the helm of many years ago when he said that with the help of the military industrial complex and the national media there will be another civil war but this time it actually would be about races not socio-economics or civil rights although there have been tries to begin one using either and both strategies. I am sorry I forgot the name of the man and the cop that set this whole thing off this time around but I do know after a young black woman dug into the victim's (and he was a victim of brutality) and pieced together the videos posted by both police and eye witnesses show the man passed a counterfeit bill at the store he was coming out from which is why the police were called to start with. He resisted being searched, he resisted being restrained, he was high on meth and had copious mounts of the substance and others in his system and on his person. Dig into his background you find several prison stints all of which included violence towards women and the last of them was a pregnant. He held a gun to her belly threatening to kill the baby if she screamed while 5 of his friends sacked the house of any valuables. Now this guy is martyr and hero for karma coming around and biting him in the booty. I do not think he deserved o die the way he did and it is not for me to say he should have been killed. Black lives Matter really fumble the ball when they pick their martyrs. I am white and I have been beaten by police officers on many occasions and the worst of which honestly was not my fault, the rest I kind of brought on myself. I am not picking on anyone here I am just trying to say the unrest is uncalled for and our federal government has with the national press (no conspiracy, when you follow the paper trail you can see it for what it is) created a diversion because it would have been worse had we rioted over coavid-19 and it does serve the purpose of creating the racial tension needed to start a civil/race war. The CDC if you look into it, you WILL find is a branch of the military and there is only one power in this country that the news media has to bend to and again that is the Military industrial Complex. But the man who died was wronged by the officer who ended him with all certainty but it was a means to an end. There was a character I saw in this show "Th Walking Dead" and he put it in the most perfect way I have ever heard when he said "If you want to control people all you do is fid the right people and kill them in the wrongest way possible and you will have control" or something of that nature. I am sorry to tell everyone that is what this is all about. Puppet masters finding the right combination to unlock the hate every man has for every other.  |

Oh an if anyone doubts to what level this is going to become a larger you know what storm jut take a look around you. It may seem silly but I was standing in the checkout line with my grandson at Wal-Mart one day and looking at the candies. I see the skittle "pride" edition. Dressed all in white and the candies inside I a guessing are all white too. I think it probably took 5 seconds for anyone seeing that to say "Oh Heck Naw! That is inappropriate!" But that is again a prop to subliminally get people to think of the differences and not likenesses and to reintroduce old racial tensions in a much less tolerant society. |

I'm just waiting for Rod Serling to step out from behind the curtain and tell us that we've all entered into The Twilight Zone. I could philosophize about current conditions but to me it's history repeating itself, examples that come to mind are the Roman Empire or The French Revolution. When people, and it doesn't matter what the color of your skin is, are largely ignored by the higher ups then common sense goes out the window and civil unrest becomes more commonplace.  |

Now on how I am doing during these days of social distancing, I have managed to build a wall (no relation to the current president) around my lounge chair. I stocked up on various types of alcohol when soap & sanitizers were being hoarded, and I also moved my blender closer to my longer....and I do just fine w/out toilet paper...ask me how. |

OMG We Love You Larry! LOL..... I think another viable argument would be to build off what you said and point out that those higher ups have not cared about race per say as they have kept much knowledge from the hands of common people and have even gone so far as to plant instigators in every crowd. Yes it is a repeat of the fall of every great society or at least the toppling that led to the landslide. There is also the fact that there are people that do not care about the problems in a profound way other than it allows them to break into a wal mart and get a new 75" TV and set some fires to the local corner stores that sold them a day old donut and do it largely without being singled out as being a opportunist but just a general butt hole like the rest of the rioters. |

Yes, when corporate executives keep getting huge bonus checks while they furlough workers during a pandemic, and back in 2007 - 2008 during the mortgage and stock market crisis most of the bail out money goes to corporate executives bonus checks, it's no wonder why people feel they are being ripped off. The French Revolution had too many people literally starving to death because of similar folks that belong to the 1%. |

Thank you for your comments and insight Scarecrow, Hey Larry and Bluebird. Yes I do believe that we are even more becoming servants and in some cases irritants to the 1% at the top of our food chain. Some of their goals are not to help all the classes, but sometimes in spite of the other classes. They lost sight of what is good for all Americans ... all colors ... all social economic classes ... all religions and beliefs.  |

I really should not write a single word, because you four have pretty much covered the way I feel about it all. I will say that my greatest fear is being forced to choose a side and then, having to defend myself and my loved ones against the opposition. Weather it is for human rights or the political mess we are in ... things are so askew and they do not seem to be getting better.
