~These Days of Summer~2020
Good evening Angels
Hope All are doing well considering…… I promise this will not be a post about the Covid19 or many other tumultuous events taking place in our great nation… Instead I wanted to drop in on every one checking to see how every one is doing & a little update on all that I have been doing during the Summer.
I do hope You will stop by letting me know how You are doing &….Your future plans etc.. I would have stopped by a whole lot sooner….but with this being a one woman show, I’m taking care of business as usual here on the farm….taking care of the puppers, the chickies as I’ve always done, but I also mow a lot, & there are more responsibilities…..
I have been spending as much time with my Mama as we possibly can. This way she doesn’t feel as isolated or feel as though she must sit home every day… Today she & I both didn’t feel as good & we’re hoping we didn’t catch some bug while we were at the beauty salon last week….our friend & favorite hairdresser; she & her family decided to take a much needed vacation in Daytona a week or so ago… & both Mama & I have been having the same symptoms that are suspiciously similar to a stomach bug., but we decided to go to the DQ & have some ice-cream taking it to the park…perhaps its this heat, I’ll tell you the humidity here in the bluegrass state has been horrendous but I won’t complain….when I returned to my cabin home around 9:00pm tonight I felt the cool air from the AC & I was happy let me tell you!
Though its supposed to be in the upper 90’s this upcoming week & 70’s at night! wOw! Definitely not going to over- do or extend myself with the weedeating in this heat! We also did a little shopping for household items today & then I helped Mama with her purchases inside her home. I will add that some of the stores are certainly taking advantage of the circumstances each of us find ourselves & are price gouging..The prices on several items are absolutely outrageous..its shameful stores would do this..
Everything around here has been routine basically...finished a work assignment & I am hoping to pick up a 2 to 3 day weekly home care assignment or work from a rehab convalescent facility. This upcoming Fall, Winter, I plan to take some classes online …& have plans to write more poetry, short stories, books etc I’m reading a really good book right now as I have the time & that’s usually before bedtime. It’s titled, “Angels God’s Secret Agents” By Reverend Billy Graham. It’s very insightful & I highly recommend. As the Summer winds down I enjoy so much spending more time here at my “Happy Place” Our USM…..I’m looking forward to doing that! I miss seeing every one’s colorful beautiful taggies & reading the lastest posts, stories, poetry & much more!
………I’m still wanting those baby lamas, alpaca’s miniature goats, sheep……but as I always say, Rome wasn’t built in a day! {haha}It’s going to take a little time but I’ll get there! It’s kinda like when I said to someone who asked me about the (lovely) curtains given to me by my Mama a few years ago & I had them hanging up against the wall as though windows were already there….although they were not but it was actually to prevent the curtains from getting wrinkled or soiled, the material is "dry-clean only"…..& the woman says to me…”You have curtains hanging there but there isn’t windows there is there?” She knew full well there were not….
however instead I replied., well, “The Italians knew One day that a train would be coming through the Alps so they built a train track!! ;) :D You should have seen the look on her face....
Anyway, I will build the extra building & room needed to house those goats, sheep, lamas & alpaca’s that will one day be there!

Halloween is Right around the corner.. .

. George and I are doing really well. We are very healthy and working hard to stay that way. At 65 we need to keep active and stay away from the virus. It's always great to hear that you are doing well and staying healthy. 
Greetings to you, sister! I am happy to read you, "holding up well." We must make it as good as we can. With the communication in the world, today, we hear it if someone breaks a coffee mug in Berlin. Sorting through it all is definitely tedious....As for how me and the gang go: Sangelina and my grandson are going out on the lake to harvest blue crabs. I stay home and am in charge of food, the dog, logistics, you know stuff like that. I miss being out on the water, but the grandson needs work and he is a younger, stronger model. (It's tough getting old) 
Anyway, he loves his grandmother and they work really well together.....Happy to see that you spend time with your mother. I miss my parents and would love to get their take on my world, today. Love your telling of "the curtains."
