Kronk, I really like this one. I do not like what I think it s about. Is this about Oregon passing the bill to grant everyone including illegal aliens free abortions? You know back in the day, it used to be if you did not want kids you just kept it in your pants and everyone else out of them. I am a little suspect that there was more to this piece than just that bill if it was about the bill at all. I do like the way you showed how people have placed their morals to the side and are so passive and indifferent about the difference for the better that they had the opportunity to make for the sake of putting their faith in the dollar rather than the one watching from the shadows hoping someone will stand up by their own free will and say "No Further! Dial that down sport!". |

Scarecrow76 "That bill" blows restraint and good judgement out of the water and encourages promiscuous behavior. In my humble opinion, anyway. Now, that being said, I am certainly no saint, myself, and I do realize that in certain circumstances, abortion may be acceptable, or even necessary. BUT, "It's ok. Don't worry, we can always kill it" doesn't set well with me, at all.....Now, to be truthful, I knew nothing about "that bill" until you mentioned it in your comment, but it certainly could relate to my words. For the most part, the words in the above poetry were just stuff that forced their way into my head. Probably from watching the evening news and the strange times I find myself living in. I also watched a movie called "The Boondock Saints." Go figure? Thanks for the kind words and take care of you. |

I do agree so much, dear Kronk. These times are a changin' things all around us. It seems like trying to watch 5 TV sets at once, and make sense of it all. I do yearn for the simpler times. |

Ky-bluebird Thank you, sister. Isn't it wild? Six months ago, we were living in a different world, or it seemed like it, anyway. I like coming here to visit with you all. Doing so helps me to endure. Take care of you. |
