the survivor blends into the crowd
a weed blowing with the wind
the survivor has cultivated self reliance
it has gotten them to where they are
the survivor holds a hint of darkness
a shade that will never fade
the survivor holds themselves stately
in a remote and reserved kind of way
the survivor becomes firm
the survivor is not palpable
to flighty sensibilities
is sometimes an off putting presence
the survivor has learned
to accept that fact
the resilience of the survivor
is a stubbornness
