Validation! Priorities!


Validation! Cried with tears in eyes.
Seared by the anguish of your pain.
Yes! I hear you and ask myself why?
Why must one drive the other insane!

Priorities! A statement of your desire!
That emphasis with more than a mention.
Am I a con artist or a liar?
Perhaps just stupid for my inattention!

A nagging fear gnaws from within.
Wanting a bridge from here to there.
Logic and emotion knows it will end.
Anxious behavior as I breathe the air.

I made a move and you followed me.
Sacrificing faith in your every part.
Then I followed you because I too believe.
My hope, we are becoming one heart.

Look my countrymen and what do you see?
Every moment of life brings new tests.
Is it “you” and “me” becoming “we”?
That answer I cannot always confess.

I profess my faith in what may come.
With our love we all can grow.
We begin by wanting to be one.
The light of our path will show.

We will do what we must do!
Priority! I hold with all my might!
Selfish me will always love you.
I want to somehow get it right.

Some will stand and loudly sing.
Some are silent while they kneel.
Both have love that each one brings.
Their heart’s acting as they feel.

This test may go quite a bit longer!
Validation and Priority! Two as one.
We will come through growing stronger.
Our love is our future that is to come!
