Last week I was riding a commuter train back home after attending a work-related meeting. I was staring out the window at the flashing landscape when I saw something strange. I blinked, rubbed my eyes, and stared hard to make sure that what I was seeing was real. It was, and what I saw took my breath way.
Flying high in the sky was a dagger-shaped object which appeared to be pacing my train. It was shaped like an elongated mountain lying on its side, and had been stretched out. If it were on the ground it would have been about 400 feet long.
By my estimate, it was about 300 feet in the air, flying south-southeast. It was silver-white in color with blue highlights along the edges. There were no wings, so it was not a jetliner. It was also flying against the wind, which was thick with fog. I could see the fog moving around it. But what was really spooky was that it was flickering in and out of the visible spectrum!
The blue highlights flared, and the rest of the UFO faded briefly, then became visible again. It picked up speed and flickered again. It was as though the pilots--whoever, whatever they were--knew that their invisibility screen wasn't working, and they were trying to hard to fix the problem.
I risked a glance around the train to see if anyone else was watching, but no one was. Several other commuters were asleep. Everyone else was looking at their phones!
I looked back, and caught a last glance of the thing. It was peeling off on a thirty-degree vector away from the train. It flickered one last time, and then became invisible. The fog filled the space it had occupied, and I realized that it was now above the fog-belt. The pilots undoubtedly knew that even if it was invisible, it could still be spotted by the clouds moving around it. Above the clouds and fog though, it would be untraceable.
We can't see them, but they're out there!
