I have been to the left coast of Canada a couple of times, and I really love it. I have lived and visited a lot of states but I believe Washington state has the most friendly people. After saying that, we seem to pale by comparison to our neighbors to the north. Each time I have crossed the border into Vancouver, Surrey, Sidney or Victoria we have been met with the nicest and most relaxed sort of people. Even at stressful over packed ferry crossings and detours the workers just do not let anything get to them. I will have to come back to this post with some more interesting points of interest. I gotta try to match 'Hey, What's His Name' ... lol |
Date: 7/12/2018 9:56:00 AM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 5940 I used to love visiting the British Columbia area every time I went to visit my folk's while they lived in N. Idaho. My folks used to think I was only using their place as a rest stop. Kootenay Lake, Creston, Banff, The Canadian Rockies, the quaint towns didn't have bars...they're respectable "PUBS". Oh yeah....really , really good beer! |

Date: 7/13/2018 7:40:00 AM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 5940 Hey, I could be a travel spokesperson for Canada! Just sayin' ... Australia had Crocodile Dundee doing those shrimp on the Barbie ads, I could do "really, really good beer'! |
Date: 7/13/2018 2:53:00 PM From Authorid: 21435 Hey, What's His Name! Good to read you, again. I like Moosehead. (beer, that is) I also like the hunting stories Sargeant Steve told me about British Columbia. I do not know a whole lot about hockey and Rickles reminds me of a smart mouth underclassman I knew in high school. Everyone was so shocked by the thiongs he said that they usually didn't bother to beat him up. Write about it....(no matter what "they" say) |

Let's make that "things," please. |
Date: 7/14/2018 8:50:00 AM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 5940 Hey Kronk! I like Canterbury, Kokanee, and various others that weren't readily imported like Moosehead, but hey Moosehead works too. Perhaps I will see about a possible relocation to St. Paul to find a new lair in addition to coaxing others from another place to pay a visit. It's hard to pass up really, really good beer. Especially if it's FREE! |
Date: 7/17/2018 7:38:00 AM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 5940 And now for a public service announcement: From Red Green himself......"Remember, you may have to grow old, but you don't have to mature". |
Date: 7/18/2018 4:06:00 PM From Authorid: 998 Oh I agree with the public service announcement. Serious, stuffy and 'mature' people tend to wither up and blow away too soon. A fun summer day blowing bubbles, skipping along and jump on a swing in a park. Nothing beats staying young ... no matter what the age on the birth certificate says |

Personally, I enjoy playing four-square, hopscotch, and tetherball these days .....but those under 4 ft in height don't..... |
