I had the exact same thing for over a year. It started after a horrible sinus infection. Doctor could not find the problem, ears looked fine, and I passed all the hearing tests with high success. After a year, it finally went away on its own. I just remember how thankful I was when it finally went away. Anyway, I have heard of people having excellent success with DoTerra Oils. These are 100% natural essential oils you can get, and the brand "Doterra" is the most potent. A family friend was having horrible tinnitus and nothing would help. Finally he tried DoTerra Oils (You combine some of the oils together to create a blend) specifically for the ears and tinnitus. After sometime of using the formula, he noticed that his tinnitus went from 90% down to 25%. The results were almost instantaneous although not a complete cure. You can find DoTerra oils on Amazon. They are a bit pricey, but they do work. I will ask him what DoTerra recipe oil blend he used to calm his tinnitus and let you know. Trust me, I share your frustration with this. Difficulty with hearing is not only a scary thing, but it is very annoying too. |

It is pricey... you might be able to find "Helichrysum" oil through DoTerra on another website. Helichrysum is the oil for the ears. You can read about Helichrysum here: https://healingthedizzies.wordpress.com/2015/06/13/helichrysum-essential-oil-for-hearing-loss-tinnitus-and-ear-healing/ Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/doTERRA-Helichrysum-Essential-Oil-mL/dp/B004O275XK/ref=sr_1_3_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1523140941&sr=8-3&keywords=doterra+helichrysum+oil |
Date: 4/7/2018 4:00:00 PM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 998 Very informative Hangman. I already have some Helichrysum, although it is not that brand. I found it to be a very good anti-inflammatory oil for skin. I will try it for this incessant tinnitus. Thank you! |
Date: 4/7/2018 4:13:00 PM From Authorid: 48250 I have it too Ginger., Hangman's recipe he has mentioned here sounds like a really good plan but Lipo-flavonoid, I haven't used it yet but recently bought 2 bottles---It says satisfaction guaranteed that the Tinnitus will stop within 60 days or your money back---- the ringing buzzing it's very annoying and I agree, it's very Difficult to sleep at night, I try to ignore it for the most part but know I need to address it because continued tinnitus can lead to hearing loss as I'm sure you may know----hoping whatever remedy you use, it eliminates the problem----and for me too Hope both you and Hangman are having a great weekend and all of our USMers....T/C |

Aww, so sad to hear that you too have tinnitus KyBluebird. My father didn't have this, but was a bit hard of hearing (as we used to call it). I felt lucky that I had escaped asthma, hay fever, arthritis and a few other issues my family had. I do hope this doesn't turn into actual hearing loss. If I find remedies that work for me, I will certainly let you know. Let me know how the Lipo-flavonoid works please. I have seen that for sale, but their promises almost looked too good to believe. Hangman, I'm so glad yours resolved itself. Probably because you are young and keep yourself in good health. |
Date: 4/8/2018 2:34:00 PM From Authorid: 28363 My friend is trying a combination of CBD oil (taken internally) and Prevagin. He says the buzzing has reduced. I also have seen ads for pricey herbal concoctions. Best of luck and do keep us updated. |
Date: 4/10/2018 8:14:00 PM From Authorid: 52489 I've had occasional bouts of Tinnitus, although it never lasts more than about 30 seconds. My doctor told me that's normal. I'm afraid I can't be much help. Sounds like the others are on top of this problem. I hope you get better soon. |
Date: 4/11/2018 3:33:00 PM From Authorid: 40979 I have it and can remember ringing in my ears as early as 3 years of age. Its never gone away. |

...Hiya Ginger! Think of a field, way out in the country in the middle of summer and think of how loud the insects hum. That's me. I also get bagpipes at 78 RPM (dig it!), sometimes crickets to the right and bagpipes to the left. Cacophony stereo. Every once in a while, I get the sound of an electric sander but not often. I abhor having to ask people to repeat themselves. Feeling old. |

Ginger I happened on this post and, while I have no real advice to give, I suffer from the same issue. My ears ring constantly and my right ear is mostly a decoration, these days. Can't hear much at all out of that one. It also feels like the inside of my right ear is coated with some hard substance. I know, that's strange, but it really does feel that way. I've had folks look in my ear, but they say there is nothing different than the left. Anyway....I hope that you've found something that helped you out. Take care of you and write on..... |
