lol. Here we are 2 weeks into 2018. I've been coming to this site since I was 16 and wow, have I grown and changed, but I still find my way here.

Well, just an update. I'm recovering well after a car accident almost a year ago. Physical therapy is working. I hadn't been too injured despite my car being totaled cuz of some speeding person who took off. I already had this push to get myself unstuck in my life and see the world out there. I applied for my passport, now I just gotta get myself a full time teaching job that will pay me enough to do so.

I've been thinking of a move to Seattle, actually. I've been twice and fell in love with the city. Felt like I was where I belong. Felt for the first time in years that I'd felt excited and alive. My heart, gut and my soul are leading me, especially these days. California is proving to be too expensive and I'm tired of Los Angeles. I've lived here my whole life and I want to try somewhere else. I got to thinking about teaching abroad and I'm not attached to any particular outcome. I'm just not ready to settle. Whatever that means. lol. I'm trying to figure out how to have roots and wings at the same time.

Just had a few things on my mind, what's on yours?

I am glad to hear you are recovering from the accident and that the therapy is helping. I know you were a practitioner of yoga, but have you looked into "Qigong"? This is a wonderful ancient healing technique that you perform at least 15 minutes per day to get results. It really works and it would compliment your other healing practices for quicker results. I will send you a video in a PM.

Washington is a wonderful place! I agree about CA, it is becoming too "Crammed" here, and way too expensive!! I really often wonder how people are doing it sometimes.

Teaching abroad may be the right thing for you as you will be able to see many different places and places you would like to stay.

I am sure everything will work out for you!

Date: 1/17/2018 12:44:00 AM  From Authorid: 998    I love seeing you here again, and so glad you are recovering from your auto accident. I've been hit many times by other drivers and it is always so unnerving.

Good luck on getting the job you want. I'm sure you are going to be a wonderful teacher. You have always had a beautiful heart and soul here on USM, and if I were to write a review about you it would be so glowing, than they would need sunglasses to read it ...

I grew up to the age of 10 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Then my parents decided Phoenix, Arizona was a good place to move the family. I met my and married my hubby in Phoenix and had our daughter there. After 18 years there, I couldn't wait to get out. Nine months of the year in 100+ degree weather was just enough. We moved just across the lake from Seattle in 1983 and totally fell in love with this region. The winters are not very rough. Only a couple of times of snow, (if we are lucky) and only 2 - 4 inches typically. Spring and Autumn are almost magical with color and bursting of foliage. Summer can get warm for a couple of months, and even that is usually 75 - 80 degrees typically. Get ready for rain, as the rumors are true. We don't get much more than drizzles. You have been here, so you know what all that rain does ... make it incredibly beautiful here.

The people are very friendly, and there is always somewhere to go, a trail to hike, street fairs to browse in the summers or lakes, oceans and streams to enjoy. I sound like a commercial, but it is true. I don't ever want to live anywhere else, and that is saying a lot, because we spent months driving our motor home through all 9 of the western United States, and never saw a place like this.

Welcome to Seattle if you make the jump. We would love to have you here !!!
