Together Through Time - An Anniversary Story ~Ginger~

I could say so much about our time together and all we have shared together during these wonderful years. We both have really felt that the start of our relationship was a marvelous beginning because we met, then met again, and yet met one more time. Almost like the ‘fates’ were saying that if things don’t ‘stick’ the first time … keep trying to get these two kids together, cuz it is meant to be.

So this day commemorates two young grade school kids who forged an unbreakable bond. This would take them from primary grades and through high school, jobs, a baby daughter, houses, states and a life well lived. There is so much more to come, and we can’t wait to experience it all  … together.

Bear with in my effort to express myself in verse …

As we grow up, from kids into teens
Imagine our world ahead
Many thoughts we will consider
Maybe joys ... maybe dreads

Will I find my special someone
To have and to hold
Build a happy home with
As the fairy tales are told

Not so many lucky ones
Who's love survives
The stress and the struggles
Even though they strive

Will I find my special someone
To have and to hold
Begin a loving family with
Wonderful life to unfold

Never knew that I needn't fret
A higher power in process
As He stood on high
Bringing together a success

Not mere coincidence
But somewhere a plan
The fates were persistent
Until our loves span

Across the distance
Of a world so immense
We were brought together
No doubts ... no pretence

Did I find my special someone
To have and to hold
Indeed he is my soul mate
Through a million stories yet untold

If you have read this far and survived my attempt at poetic rhyme, I thank you. If I paid more attention in school to grammar, English and literature I might have been a better writer … lol

Along this journey of four and a half decades, and I must say that every day I get to share with my hubby makes me ecstatically happy !!! He is far more than my best friend, my confidant, my love and my soul mate. Everyday he gives me the world and nothing is too small or hugely impossibly for him to offer me. I feel like the queen of our castle (home) and yet I feel like his princess. Odd distinction but some might understand it.

My darling George has made me laugh everyday and brought the most profound joy to my heart. I can only hope that I have been all he needs as he deserves every happiness in life. God indeed blessed us both it seems as it has always appeared to us that we were meant to be together .. always and forever !!!
