Just as they're good doctors, I'm sure there are bad ones. But it seems like I have experienced the latter. They see my symptoms, but don't really see patients as as people. They prescribe prescriptions without knowing much about them, disregarding the side effects for the patient, as long as one symptom is resolved. |

Thanks for the comment desert lotus. Unfortunately as I thought it's just business and compounding bonuses for prescribing amounts of a certain drug and drugs from some pharmaceutical companies. These companies love side effects as they can get doctors to prescribe more meds for the effects. I have a nurse friend whom recently quit her job after 15 years as she was so appalled at lack of compassion and how the hospitals now work on profit margins not on healing. She said the amount of paperwork and questionnaires patients have to fill out before being seen would be unbelievable for me. |

I would hope that one day the healthcare system will actually put healing first, versus having a higher profit. Also when I was recovering from my brain surgery, I looked at the sweetener that that they giving me; Aspartame, a known carcinogen. Despite having a brain tumor removed, the hospital was giving me something to cause cancer after my brain surgery. |

I think for doctors its not that they don't care, but they have done the job a thousand times and so they've become almost numb to it if that makes any sense. The doctors I've had over the years made sure I knew that they cared. |
