I left a message for one of our USMers on their post and I realized that what I said to her was something I wanted to say to everyone who might have ever lost someone they loved and cherished.
When I lost my mother, it certainly changed the world as I knew it.
I don't think a person can ever get over something like that. As strange as it seems, the pain of that event becomes a part of ourselves and reminds us of how much we are capable of loving another person.
The gift of life, wouldn't be worth much if we couldn't love. I believe, the value of a persons life can only be measured in how much love we share with others.
I have learned to cherish the pain of loss and I hope it never diminishes or fades, for without that pain I might not be able to revisit the immensity of love that person brought into my life.
The joy that I feel when I remember all the great and wonderful times we had, brings with it a powerful reminder that comes in the form of pain. I believe that the pain of loss can help us more fully understand the importance of appreciating the loves we have in our lives and expressing that appreciation as often as we can.
My wishes and hopes for you, is that you are able to find a way to use your pain as a source of energy that you use towards loving all you can for as long as you can and appreciate all of the beings that gave to you their gifts of love and also appreciate your creator that blessed you with the capability to love and feel in your heart that which is most important in life.
I am convinced that our creator intended for us to understand the immensity of the gift of life that we have been given, and through love, we gain that wisdom.
Thank you to all the USMers who took a moment to read this. I want to thank you for being such a wonderful part of our lives all these years and for all the love and/or pain that you have shared with us.
Your gifts, to us all have helped brighten our lives in so many significant ways.
Thank you my dear friends,
-George
