Part 2
Nichole was standing in front of two people who'd basically told her she couldn't leave. Why can't I go? She said this nervously, watching both of them as they apparently didn't want to reveal there plans to her. I asked you a question! she snapped. The brothers looked at one another. She's going to find out at some point. Yeah but I was hoping we had more time Adam. What the heck were they talking about? Nichole was biting her bottom lip, thinking of a plan of escape just in case these alleged kidnappers had devious imaginations. Please let me go home and I won't say a word to anyone. She was walking slowly to the over sized door, she noticed the quartz crystal knob and raised an eyebrow. That's unique she whispered. You'll find there's a lot of unique things around here Nichole. Sean said this in such a curious manner. She looked over at Adam to see what expression he was giving her this time. The Handsome blonde was only staring at the floor as if something very interesting captured his attention. You guys are full of it. You bring me here and keep me against my will. You tell me I'm special but won't tell me why? You're protecting me from something but won't tell me what. Tell me this, what do I have the permission to know? Right now you just seem like two creepy guys living alone in a creepy castle on a dark and creepy hill. Sean ran a hand through his thick obsidian colored hair and sighed, leaning against the wall and staring at her as if she were the only one in his world. We didn't kidnap you Nichole. Then how'd I get here Sean? You didn't Nic. This is your home. You live here with us now. Okay you guys, I've had it. You say you're protecting me right? Keeping me safe? Then why can't I go? If this is my home, why the heck can't I go where I please? Why do I remember my family and my own house? Why don't I remember either of you? Get the book Sean. Adam was gesturing toward the door. In seconds Sean had left and returned with the very large glossy leather bound book. The brown book was heavily aged but still preserved enough to make out a familiar name on the inside of the cover. Standing between the brothers in the beautifully designed room Nichole couldn't deny the truth. An old picture of herself sitting on the pink laced bed, in this victorian styled room with all of its charm and elegance. She saw another photo of herself sitting on the window seat smiling. Impossible she said. Adam nodded. Its all very possible Nichole. You're the proof. I, this cannot be me. I'm only 19. Yes, Nic you are 19 now and 19 in the photo. I don't understand. You want me to believe I was around in the, what year is that? 1893 Sean spoke up easily. No, Nic you haven't been around since 1893. you simply visited the 1800's for a few years. She blinked in confusion. Wait a minute. This doesn't make any since and how do I know these old photos weren't doctored? There's all kinds of technology today. Adam flipped the picture over and in big black letters was the name Nicollete Elessia in her very own handwriting. She swallowed hard. We were hoping your memory would have come back by now but it looks to be taking its sweet time, Sean rolled his eyes and took a seat on the bed. Look Nic, We know you and we know how hard this is for you but it's the truth. Sean laid back on the bed and closed his eyes. Now if you wanna go running back out there where the others know about your special abilities go ahead but just remember I told you so. Nichole was staring at Adam who was pretty quiet and mostly quiet a lot. What do you think Adam? She was hoping she could get a little more information about this crazy story she was literally holding in her hands. Is the book about me? Adam smiled at her and she thought her knees might buckle. What tha mysterious stare was going on here, she thought? You can go anywhere in time Nichole and that is only one of many reasons we share this place together, he said this looking around the room. So, no this book isn't about you Nichole. It is you! That's right darling. Sean chimed in with a grin on his face. That book is all you and guess what we all have our very own. Its a nice little reminder of who we really are. So don't go showing that around or anything unless you want everyone to know about that time in L.A., Sean winked and smiled mischievously. Was a good time though. Adam looked at his brother and then back at Nichole. I know what you're thinking Adam and you should be worried. Some of us still remember everything. Adam frowned and what does that mean Sean? He said in almost a growl. It means, it's 5am and I'm starving. Who wants french toast? Sean smiled and sly walked his tall self out of the bedroom with all the smoothness of a silk scarf. By the way Nic, when you do remember again. You lost the bet and losers pay up. Sean winked, grinned and gave a quick glance toward Adam. Breakfast in an hour don't be late.
Adam? Your brother is a real piece of work. Yeah he is and that is why I'm not going to tell you that his book is behind the third bookshelf on the fourth floor and that the key to it is underneath the floor board under his desk. Adam smiled.
