I've been in the Okinowin Military Training for about 30 years, also commonaly known as traditional Ju Jitsu. So, thinking in my still western mind that one thing translates to another... I took about 6 months of Japanese Tea Ceremony and was spellbound by the beauty and intricacies... but they said my Japanese was extremely curt and abrasive ... so I had almost no acceptable Japanese speech for this art. So when life changed I had to leave- and it took almost a year for my knees to heal. So now along with my jujitsu I'm playing with Haragina. |

how did you adjust to the time zone? lol, i have never been but, i wish i could have studied abroad as an exchange student there. i know some of the language but, not enough for a whole conversation, i would have to use a translator. plus i can't read kanji/katakana/romaji/hiragana. i made some Japanese friends' from japan online on other sites, and chat with them on LINE app. i use sites like japan-guide, and conversation exchange. were you able to make any friends' while you were there? |

I definitely am interested in the Japanese. Maybe I should pay more attention to my typing 'I meant to say I've been training in the Okonowin.... That's where my teachers who were in the US military were training and trained and their lineage down here to their students and down to me in Texas. Unfortunately I have never been to Japan but have had contact with real Japanese people. |

i keep posting comments, and deleting them to try, and find a way to make my posts'/comments more interesting, but, i give up i feel like i only attract "one-chat wonders'" on here [people who only chat with someone one time only]. oh well, it was fun while it started! thanks for reading, and commenting on my post celticriver, it was nice meeting/chatting with you . |

Have you ever been to the land of the rising sun? That would be a great vacation and trip to take.
I hope you are doing well Rini. Your poem was a good read. |
