Why I did not vote for Trump or Clinton, and who I voted for

Since the election I have only said that I did not vote for either Trump or Clinton, but I have never told anyone who I actually voted for or why. I liked some of what Trump stood for, and I loved that he was not a career politician. With Clinton I could not get behind her at all. I didn’t like what she stood for, nor did I like her fake personality. I also never would have voted for Bernie Sanders.

So if I didn’t vote for Trump or Clinton, than whom did I vote for? Even McMullin is a right-leaning independent candidate. He is pro-military, he wanted to give smaller businesses a fighting chance, education reform (not in the way Obama, Clinton, or Sanders wanted), he wanted to get rid of Obamacare while replacing it with something new, he is also a constitutionalist which means he is for the second amendment, he is against illegal immigration (not immigration itself but those who come over and don’t do it lawfully), and there is so much more to him. He is also a former CIA operative, business professional, and the House GOP’s Chief Policy Director.

Many people I have talked to claimed they voted for either Trump or Clinton because their choice was the lesser of the two evils. I did not want to be like that. I wanted to vote for someone who I liked, and who I felt would be good for America. I do hope that people will start voting not based on the candidates gender or that they are the lesser of the two evils and they start voting for who they think would be good for their state/country.

Date: 12/14/2016 2:01:00 PM  From Authorid: 67327    Unfortunately voting third party causes the republican party to win. I forgot the technical details about that to explain what I mean, but this explains how Trump won since many people voted for Gary (especially here in Texas, people were voting for Gary and it became a Trump state.)
Date: 12/14/2016 8:55:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 61013    I didn't like Gary. I loved Evan. He was similar to Trump but wasn't Trump if that makes any sense.
Date: 12/27/2016 9:43:00 PM  From Authorid: 63575    Third Party is also how McCain and Romney lost, including other things...However, America is where each citizen can vote for whomever she or he wants. It is America after all. I heard Donald Trump's speeches and not filtered through the media, I liked his message and that is why I voted for him.

People can hate my guts, call me racist or whatever they want.

Some people forget that yes, we have free speech in America, however we are also accountable for our actions. Depending on what is said, free speech could land us without a job or imprisonment.
