Bev back in 2005 befriended two kittens, both black, both strays. one day both kittens decided to follow Bev home. She had to take them back to the long abandoned house next door, when she did, their mom grabbed one by the scruff and made sure the other one went upstairs.
Bev took the time to befriend the mom as well.
This abandoned house had numerous cats, I've heard from neighbors and Bev any where from fifty to one hundred cats.
Eventually, Bev was able to get the three of them home. Mama Cat a long hair black cat, the two boys short hair and all black.
The mom, Bev named Mama Cat, one of the kittens she named Midnight. The other one she didn't know until a friend said, when you put them in for the night, the second cat always shows up a half hour after Midnight, so you might as well call him 1230.
Now 11 years later, Midnight shows up to go in the shed for the night and more often than not, 1230 shows up a half hour later to go to bed.
Mama Cat is still with us, she had to have some teeth pulled but the vet told us, for an 11 year old cat she is doing really well.
While Bev was at work those 50 to hundred cats were put down.
She used to feel really bad because she wanted to save them all and couldn't
She did save those three plus two more, Grubby who is no longer with us, he died from diabetes and possibly a brain hemorrhage.
Pepper is a long hair black and white cat and fairly mellow, unless one Midnight, 1230 or Mama Cat get too close to her she may hiss or try to take a swipe at them.
Pepper has actually mellowed the last couple of years.
Grubby and her were rally good friends, Grubby always protected her, now i see Brutus, sort of being a peace keeper for all of them. They don't chase Pepper outside very much and she doesn't swipe or his at them as much as she did.
