The Red Sox have just one a four game set against the Yankees, four games against the Orioles and last night against Tampa Bay. David Ortiz (Big Papi) hit a 2 run shot over the wall and made it a 2-1 game, that was enough to win it.
So, tonight is against Tampa, they win today and they will be three games away from being leading their division.
The more they win the better their standing, with 8 games left of the regular season if the Red Sox win all 8 games they could lead the American League, that would give them a few days of needed rest.
They play Tampa today and tomorrow and then NY Tues. Wed. & Thurs. Fri. Sat. & Sun. against the Blue Jays.
This very well could be a playoff sweep - stay tuned and find out!
