Good afternoon, USMers! I haven't posted much lately, so I thought I would do a quick review!
Today's item up for scrutiny is the Pacifica Natural Eye Pencil, available at Ulta for $11. I did not actually buy this item. My sister got it in a monthly subscription box and she wasn't a fan of the color, so she gave it to me.
Now let me just start off with the greatest thing about this pencil. It's soft, but not fragile. You know that annoying moment when you're sharpening your eye pencil and pull it out only to find the tip broke off? Never happened with this eye pencil. I could sharpen and sharpen until I got carpal tunnel and the tip never once broke off. Keep in mind, I've used this eye pencil for about... a year now, I believe? So that's a lot of sharpening.
I typically don't use eye pencils for eyeliner. I only use them to fill in my brows, to tightline, and to layout where I want my eyeliner to go before going over that with gel or liquid liner. Some days, though, I'll want to wear makeup but feel too lazy to apply it fully, so I'll just use an eye pencil to quickly rim my eyes. Whenever I do that, this pencil holds up pretty well. It will bleed and crease, yeah, but not as badly as some other eye pencils I've used in the past.
This pencil is very pigmented, too. Mine is in the color Fringe, a lovely warm brown, and it just glides on. It's not patchy or dry or hard, which is also ideal if your eye area is sensitive.
Would I recommend this product? Yes!
