I always have wondered who 'charley' was and why the cramp is called a 'horse'. I know sometimes it does feel like a horse is kickin me when I get one ... My mother used to get really horrible cramps in her legs. It was strangely when she had eaten too much dairy in a day. Then the nighttime would be cramp-city for her. The one thing she always kept on her nightstand was simple calcium pills. Just one or two pills and the cramps would soon be gone. I never understood the relationship, but it worked for her. For me, when I get leg cramps, I take a supplement of magnesium and potassium. In a day or two I will have no more night cramps. |

If I remember I take three before I start work and I don't have an issue, if I don't take any for three or four days, I pay for it during work usually. Cramps in my arms, hands, feet and legs. Sometimes in the shoulders. |
