Good evening USM Angels;

I thought about posting in the Poetry category since I did write a poem, but it's also sharing an incident that recently happened to us, I decided to post in Angels God Spiritual category.

~A heart of Gratitude~

Standing on our cabin’s porch,

Looking toward the sky

Watching little birds as they fly

to the feeder while rain is softly falling.

There’s just something about a gentle rain

on an early morning in Spring.

Reminding me

The Precious Holy Spirit

My God, my Savior His tender love, and gentleness

Soothing healing

When His Children’s hearts are broken

hurting in pain.

He’ll come wipe the tears from our eyes

There is joy once again

His mercies renewed each morning

I see beauty in everything, all around

Vivid deep green, are leaves on the trees,

Beautiful flowers every color of the rainbow

Growing coming up from the ground

A gift more precious than gold

These new beginnings, bestowed.

Tokens of love to appreciate

little things anticipated

In all that you do

Watching in wonder-----

As the beauty of life simply, splendidly resonates

all around me

My darling honey sweetness stops in his pickup

in front of the old fence, telling me he loves me-----

then, blowing a kiss.

When I feel a tear upon my cheek

With a thankful heart of gratitude,

it’s in knowing I am so blessed

He says, I’ll be back in a little while

These little things I notice,

brings a smile

Expectantly

I watch As he stops briefly at Egan’s kennel

He’ll make his way to town

Run a few errands,

speak to some old friends

Back home before dinner.

Daring not take this love,

our lives for granted

For we both know only too well

Those we’ve loved and lost along the way

we have sweet memories,

pain endured much too difficult to tell

Suddenly disturbing this joy, contentment----

A nightmarish storm----- so dark------cold

It was a week ago

Reminiscent of hurricane winds from hell

The chaplain came to talk to me

He didn’t have to tell me you weren’t doing well

But I guess he thought I should know

As I walked along the corridor

In a chair I sat down

Calling upon Jesus aloud

I asked Him to Help us

That’s when I felt Angels all around

Though this mountain seemed so high

With God holding my hand,

I started to climb

There was a great beast waiting to pounce

Lurking----

Waves of uncertainty came rushing, crashing in

I looked up

Meeting fear with an unwavering Faith-----

Standing on God’s precious promises----

His unmatchless love

I asked, Please don’t take him

Speaking to my heart He said,

My child You are covered with my Blood

I could almost hear the saints praying

When suddenly I felt His peace and strength

filling up the places where sadness had been

When someone said,

You and he are going through high waters

I answered,

this may be true

Still

He’ll hold us up by our right hand

We’ve been through rough seas before

But in faith believing

He’s leading, guiding the way safely to shore

These high waters we’re treading,

we both know Where we have been

When the seas are so high and billows roll

My God; He’ll take us through once again.

I hope all have been doing very well Take/ Care, God bless~
