WOW! That's awesome you get bumble bees over there! They are so cute! I love them! They only live up north because it's too hot for them down south. PROBABLY BECAUSE THEY'RE SO FAT. Hahahaha! |

Lived in Pasadena CA for awhile and the owner kept a bee hive on the property. No problems with the bees - He also had nurseries and kept potted palm trees and greenery everywhere. |

I love this poem, and the memories with which it floods my mind. We get the black and yellow fat Bumble Bees here in Texas, and pretty juch all over the south. When I was a mere kid I used to catch honey bees and bumble bees in my hands and let them crawl on my hands...I did this up until I got swarmed when I was 11 years old, and stung multiple uncountable times...my mind was only on the big old hornet drillin' for oil in my thigh. LOL. THAT HURT! Thank you for sharing your awesome words and bringing back fun memories. HUGS |

Oh Nani - I know what you mean - tried to step on some wasps on the ground and some flew up my leg and started stinging me. I had to get rid of them jeans and scoot to the house asap. Ouch! |

Aww, that's so cute you got to play with bumble bees, and also really cool! Where in Texas do you live? There's seriously absolutely no bumble bees over here. It's too hot for them. I've never seen one up close. I hope to one day though! I've only seen honey bees. I live right next to Mexico. Bumble bees don't live in this type of climate, but that's neat you actually have some bumble bees up over there! |

Lady Phoenix - I know what you mean. Those bees are cool but the wasps and hornets have to be purified with fire. Glad you liked the poem and photo. |
