when a chocolate pastry is super delicious, you need to have another one.
I see pastries and coffees, even in the corner of a coffee shop
by myself, taking it all in
as a celebration of life, and cohesiveness
and how easy it is to just dissolve into the collective essence
and let things go, and be tempered
and let temptation find a middle ground
as I do my best to find my step
into the world
I find a moment of grounding
in the chocolate pastry
it reminds me to step back into myself
and cultivate what really matters
and get out of my way
and not descend into needless
self sabotage and negativity
it's like finding a penny or a dime
on the sidewalk
you never know what the next corner may bring
