~Christmas Joy~

Good afternoon Angels; I hope my post finds every One doing very well this beautiful Christmas Season.

Rain is falling across the glass of my window. A cold wind is blowing in. Still, I have joy in my heart. When I awoke early this morning seeing the red sky, I knew we were going to have a cold blustery day. Yet, still I’ve got joy in my heart I’m glad I have the majority of my Christmas decorations out, but have several more heavier pieces, my life-size Nativity for one, even though the wind is whipping them about. There are reds, greens, golds, silvers, blues every where! I’ve felt a little overwhelmed, this Christmas Season with responsibilities, thinking “I’ll never sort through these decorations, while getting everything else done, too” Still, I’ve got joy in my heart. During the early morning rain; I went outside on the porch, moving the Christmas decorations forward, so they wouldn’t get wet.

It seems I’m also always late, I still have some Christmas shopping left to do, while most have their shopping done, gifts wrapped & under the tree, I’m just beginning, still I’ve got joy in my heart. It was so nice yesterday, everybody was wondering if record temps were in order, Meteorologists are saying I believe it was during 1929, it felt like Summertime. I think a few states succeeded, though I’m not sure whether Kentucky made it to the winner’s circle or not. But, I do know, while stringing lights; to my delight, I was hearing some beautiful Cardinals singing, I saw buds on one of our fruit trees, (couldn’t believe that!), & I also saw some honeybees----- Yes, Honeybees!----------they sure believed it might be Summertime! Did I forget to mention,  O I’ve got joy in my heart!

These days, so many seem stressed, overwhelmed, there’s also a deep sadness during this Season meant to be filled with Love, Peace, Hope, Faith, Joy-------I try my very best to be kind, compassionate even when there are those who are not so kind. Just the other day, I passed some people in a department store & couldn’t believe all the frowns, some of the rudeness, then I passed a lady who stopped next to me, looking at the same Christmas village collection, that had caught my attention. Her smile lit up the place as I smiled in return, she then said, it feels like The Spirit of Christmas with all these decorations on display. I should have said, “It’s your friendliness, loving attitude that makes it feel like Christmas…….

While all the gift receiving is so nice, but the gift giving even nicer------ the cards, the Seasonal movies; from favorite classics to the new, Plays , Pageants, Theatre, Music., other fine performing arts. Nativities, the caroling, the food, family, friendships, twinkling lights, the festive decorations, all aglow glittering, Christmas trees, many people out & about wearing clothing in celebration of this Special Season. People passing with their children laughing admiring the lights in window displays. Yet in the midst of all the laughter, during this Celebratory Occasion There is A Story-------of a glorious Miracle------A Birth------ Emmanuel-----“God is With Us” The One who Loved us so much-----He Came to earth.

On that night, Three Wise men saw a Star in the sky over Bethlehem; The City of David. Hallelujah;” A King has been Born” Shepherd’s while guarding their flock in the field heard Angelic voices from on High-----An Angel Choir in Heaven’s Sweetest Expression, in Salutation------ Yet, turned away, there wasn’t any room at the inn for his Mother Mary & her Husband; Joseph In a Manger he lay, a small Babe’ a King, born in humility--------“JESUS Christ, Savior & King” At the mention of His holy Name, I’ve got Joy in my heart.------------ So when we trim the tree, deck the halls, enjoying family, friends, the lovely festivities all the beauty that Christmas is, may we whisper a Prayer of thankfulness, of gratitude for The One Gift above all gifts; The Birth of a Redeemer, a Savior our Salvation. Jesus Christ Our Lord & King-------

Have a Blessed Christmas & a prosperous New Year, Angels of USM ~May God Bless~

With Love Always, ~Blue
