After many years of battling cancer, a very special lady whom I am honored that I was a part of her life, lost her battle. She was my ex-husbands aunt and even though I have not been a married part of that family for almost 10 years, I still feel like I am a part of it. I never lost contact with any of his aunts, including her and when I found out the news this morning it felt like a little part of me died as well. I remember all the times that I would go visit with her, enjoy her homemade donuts and coffee and just sit and talk. I was at work when I found out and it was hard to fight back the tears in front of everyone so I had to go to the washroom and just sit and have a good cry. Even though she will be dearly missed, she is no longer in pain and she is reunited with her husband and together they shall be with God and watch over us all. May you rest in peace Linda, you will be dearly missed by all of us left behind. Love you always.
