Hey, USMers, does anyone happen to have the time? You don't? Well, I do. It's review time!
Today's product is something I have been dying to try. ;) It is the Welcos Merit Killing Me Zombie BB Cream. This product is made in Korea and after hearing some good reviews on it, I decided to try it for myself! This product contains SPF 50 and is advertised as a whitening product and is supposed to help smooth out your wrinkles over time. I don't have wrinkles to worry about, but I'm very conscious of the sun and lately, I've been trying to invest in more whitening products to help even out my skin tone.
As I have mentioned before, I am a very pale person. I'm redhead-white without being a natural redhead, so when it comes to things like foundations and concealers and BB creams, it's difficult finding something that isn't dark on me. As anyone would think, seeing the word "zombie" in the name of this product gave me the impression that it would be a very pasty color, so I purchased it and greatly anticipated its arrival.
Unfortunately, I have learned the zombie name is misleading. I applied this and much like all the other BB creams I purchased in the past, it looked very dark on my skin. In fact, it was around the same shade as the other BB creams I have lying around.
Even though it's very dark, I took the liberty of wearing it around the house so I could still give it a proper review rather than just complain about the color and end it there. It has nice coverage and feels very light, like you aren't even wearing anything. I didn't experience anything like creasing after several hours of wear, but I'll confess I'm not all that knowledgeable about BB creams so I don't know if they run the risk of creasing/settling in wrinkles and fine lines or not. If they are, this didn't do that on me.
As I've only tried this product once and I don't intend on keeping it long enough to experiment, I can't comment on how well it works on wrinkles or for whitening.
I got this for about $10.50. Considering how you need very little to cover your whole face, this will last you a while, so I'd say it's a pretty good deal.
I should also mention I REALLY love the packaging. It doesn't look gory or gross like a lot of zombie products do and even though I love all types of horror movies, I don't like that stuff being printing on things I use on a regular basis. On the contrary, the packaging is very cute, though I have to say the girl on the box looks more like a vampire than a zombie.
Overall, I'd say this is a good product if you aren't super pale like me.
Below I've taken pictures of an arm swatch so you can see what I'm talking about.
