Wow, is it that time again already? You bet it is!
This next product up for review in the limited edition Milani Amore Matte Lip Creme in the color Adore. I was very sad because I wanted a few of the red shades but by the time I went to order them from the Milani website, they were out of stock. :(
Okay, I absolutely have to talk about the scent first and foremost. Wow. Just wow. The product has a delicious vanilla smell to it that's still detectable even after it dries. It's so sweet and yummy that I almost want to eat it! Actually, does anyone here remember the Jessica Simpson cosmetics line from years back? Where everything was edible and smelled sweet and delicious? Totally reminds me of that, and makes me miss that line.
The creme has an interesting feel when it dries. It doesn't FEEL dry, but rather soft. Almost creamy, just not in a wet way, if that makes any sense.
As to be expected with liquid lipsticks, this product doesn't budge from the lips after hours of wear. No smudging, feathering, transferring, etc. However, during the arm swatch, I managed to rub most of it off with my finger after I let it dry, so that's not exactly a good thing.
I don't like the shape of the applicator. It's like a blunt doe foot and really collects the product, which isn't good because you only need a little. Maneuvering is a little difficult, but it's nothing that would make stop using the applicator in favor of a brush.
I purchased this for $8.99 and while the formula isn't perfect, I would gladly fork over more money for the other colors, even if the price feels a bit steep to me.
