Hello, USMers! It's that time again! :)
Today's product up for scrutiny is the QiBest Lip Series Long Lasting Lip Gloss, which was advertised as being part of the MeNow Pro line from the seller I purchased from on eBay, but it does not give any mention on the packaging. However, I have learned that QiBest is the company that produces the MeNow products. This is the product I mentioned being excited to try!
Knowing me, I had to try one of the reds (#33), but I also wanted to step out of my comfort zone a little, so I purchased a purple as well (#03). There were other colors I wanted to buy, but since this is the same company and some of the colors look very similar to the regular MeNow lip products, I didn't want to just be buying what is basically something I already own, you know?
There's nothing new I have to say about this product; nothing that I wouldn't be repeating from my review of the regular MeNow products. I'll reiterate a little anyways in case people haven't read it and don't feel like searching it up. Despite the label calling it a lip gloss, it functions as a liquid lipstick, drying to a matte finish that will not smear or feather or transfer to things like cups. You can eat with this stuff on and it won't rub off, but be careful when you're eating greasy foods, as this stuff is oil soluble!
I'll admit that I'm not a huge fan of purple lipstick, especially on myself, but I did kinda like how #03 looked. And #33, while it appears to be the exact same shade as #33 in the regular MeNow line, this #33 actually has a little more of a brown undertone to it, so it's not the exact same shade.
I have one new pro and one new con to add. Starting with the pro, I'm not sure if you can tell in the photo, but the inside of the tube is shaped like a lipstick and I thought that was very cute. :) As for the con, that little plastic seal at the top meant to keep you from getting too much product on the applicator is a tad too wide to do what it's intended, so there's a bit of a goopy mess you need to wipe off on the mouth of the tube before application. THe extra product made the application process just a tiny bit harder, but it wasn't like a nightmare.
I got both of these babies for 99 cents with 55 cent shipping. Definitely a steal, and I'm definitely going to buy out the rest of the reds! :)
Oh, and please note that in real life, #03 is just a touch darker than it appears in the photo.
UPDATE: My apologies, but I got this product mixed up with another. This is by the same company that makes the MeNow products, but this is not the product I was waiting for. I got confused because I bought ths product at roughly the same time as the MeNow Pros. So, stayed tuned for that!
