There are hormones like Phytoestrogen and Medroxyprogesterone occuring naturally in food plants without the government interfering with megadoses of estrogen and progesterone. Some of the Phytoestrogenic plants may even help to prevent breast cancer.  |

From what I recall, it's actually illegal to use hormones in chickens in the United States. But they are full of antibiotics though. I remember reading about it quite some time ago....  |

I have seen guys with man boobs but to be honest they are very overweight men, I've never seen a slim male with man boobs...maybe it's just the lifestyle that needs to be looked at...I'm no doctor though, it's just my thoughts on it.... |

Zema, synthetic hormones are in the feed given to chickens here in the US. It makes them grow quite rapidly, and quite big. They are harvested very young for packaging and distribution. The grains they are fed are GMO's, and hormones have been added. If you get the chance, watch 'Food Inc.' It's extremely enlightening, and very scary because it is reality. And, the chicken doesn't taste the same as I remember before all of this 'additive and modification' stuff started happening. I have also seen man-boobs on young boys going through puberty, but they usually go away after puberty. Sometimes they don't. The foods we eat cause a good portion of the anomalies we all face in our health, aside from genetics... |

Oh okay Nani I will look the site up and I asked about our chickens also and was told that they are given hormones also...wow! does make you wonder where all these weird diagnosis of different problems arise from doesn't ?...wonder what is safe to eat anymore..guess if we have our own chickens etc and grow our own vegies and fruit is the way to go and when Ted and I had the farm we did...I know it's not always possible to do that though...struth! there's mercury in the fish in the ocean, wonder what that is doing to us? |

Zema, Organics is the way to go to be safer...however, not every food with the Label 'Organic' is completely organic. Farmer's Markets tend to be more health oriented, but the food is kind of pricey. They have a smaller field of consumer, so that's the reason, and it takes a lot to make sure something is completely organically grown...from feed to seed. |

Mercury stays in the system like forever, and it's been in recent decades that the mercury contamination was discovered, or, at least, made public. They figure a certain amount will be okay for human consumption, but who's to know just how much really is safe? They banned Mercurichrome, and other antiseptics because of the mercury content, and gave health alerts as to how much fish to consume. |

Never be afraid to question your government . I am shocked by what I have learned . Nani you make a lot of great points . There are organic dishes designed for the microwave . This is a HUGE no no ! Microwaves adulterate the food and the microwaves make processed foods very toxic . Microwaves are banned throughout the Russian Federation for this very reason . The largest country in the world cannot be wrong . Russia also bans genetically modified food . Microwaves and gmos are the reasons most Americans have deformed bodies . Sad .  |

This is why I so love homosexuality, but I believe it is nature's way of helping to solve the population issue.  |
