I placed the video on your post Pernikoff. Not sure what caused the trouble adding it. I take the link in the address bar of Youtube. Then when I come to add it to a post here on USM, I mark at least a space or two (drag mouse where you want the video to show, and highlight at least one space). Next click on the editor icon Insert/Edit Link (icon is of chains linked). Place the youtube link in the first line of the pop-up box, and click 'Insert'. Hopefully this will work for you next time. I really liked the topic of this post and the video. I believe big business put such pressure on the powers that be to get GMO's passed, and they should have required more testing like most drugs and medications. I'm sure we do not know what this is changing in our bodies, not to mention babies and infants in the womb. I think this is going to be a cascading failure and we are already seeing that some seeds are almost extinct in the natural variety. We have polluted this planet so horribly, and now we are altering natures growing patterns. Shame on big business .. shame! |

GMO has been 'acrynomiously' cited as God Move Over, because through arrogance and greed for more, a few with some knowledge and no wisdom, are trying to do Gods work. I for one do not like having 'cow like genes' in my Wheaties. |

Date: 5/9/2015 2:18:00 PM From Authorid: 63194 It's a great question. I think it is interesting you mention that people are trying to do "God's" work, but have you considered that many of those who support these companies rights to keep us blind to what is in our food, are often (by an overwhelming majority) republican, and that an overwhelming majority of republicans profess a belief in God? |
Date: 5/9/2015 7:00:00 PM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 39179 To be honest...I don't deal in republicans and democrats...I deal in liberal, progressive conservatives and New democrats... Not sure if the taste is any different than the names though. |
Date: 5/14/2015 2:53:00 PM From Authorid: 63194 In some ways you could probably identify differences, but in others you'll find that the distinctions you identify will some how roll up to either democrat or republican. That is because of the two party system we have. People who are really in between or don't really identify with either of the two dominant parties will still find their own ideal being at least partially represented by either the republican or democratic party, which is pretty much what keeps the party alive. To be honest, my experience has shown that many conservative folds don't necessary agree with the republican party and are more progressive, despite considering themselves conservative. Unfortunately, perhaps due solely to some strange sense of loyalty, they'll favor republicans over democrats, even when you take them to task and learn that democrats generally represent their ideals more closely than the democrats. |
