Urban Decay Electric Palette .:PatchouliMoonsong:.

Another review? Yay!

Next product up for review is the Urban Decay Electric palette. As the name implies, the ten colors you get with the palette are electrifying shades of green, blue, pink, purple, yellow, orange, and silver.

Originally, I purchased this palette solely for Urban, the dark purple color at the bottom center of the case and I was having regrets about buying such an expensive palette just for one shadow. Real quick, it retails for $49, but I managed to score one for only $30, but that still seems like a lot to me for cosmetics. However, I looked up reviews for this product and dozens of people said they didn't expect to get much use out of it, but found themselves using it everyday. Turns out, after playing with various color combinations, I did, too! Lately, I've been rocking the shade Thrash on my lids and then blending Gonzo into my crease and outer corners, where it blends with Trash into a lovely dark green. Other looks I've been sporting - though rarely - are Gonzo on the inner corner, Urban in the middle of my lid, and then a black eyeshadow in the corners for sort of a galaxy effect and Savage on the inner corner, Urban in the middle, and Gonzo on the outer corners. So if you think you're not going to get much use from it, believe me when I say you better think again.

All of these shades are very pigmented. By themselves, without a primer or a base, they're so bold and pretty, and they go on so smooth and evenly. Fallout is minimal to nonexistent.

I feel I should mention the palette comes with a little warning that the shades Savage, Slowburn, Jilted, and Urban are not recommended for use in the immediate eye area. I find that kind of strange to include shades in an eyeshadow palette that you can't use in the immediate eye area, but I'm no expert. I personally haven't experienced any issues using these shades in the immediate eye area, nor have I ceased usage of them in that area. Still, keep that warning in mind, as it's there for a reason.

I've got to say that in my opinion, $49 is a LOT of money to be spending on an eyeshadow palette, but the stellar quality of the product is worth it! I cannot recommend it enough and I know that as soon as I run out, I'm going to purchase another one. :)
