Yes, Paddy Bear Wicked Angel, that is her. But there is a lot to her story. A love triangle with a very ironic ending as well as her heroism during the battle that got her killed. Good call! |

Thank you Ginger, and I surely will do one now. I want to do some more research to get the whole thing right, and upload some pics from when I went there last summer. I will have the post done by the end of the weekend coming up, by Sunday at the latest. |

I was very curious as to how famous she really is, and it seems like a lot of people not around the area don't really know of her. Hearing her story, I immediately thought she should not be forgotten. |

Well, I'm going to need more time with this. Had too much going over the weekend to dive into it to put it together. I always reach for what I say I will do, and apologize for not getting there this time. I'll work on it this week, and have it up by next Sunday at the latest. |

I just visited Gettysburg two weeks ago and went through the Battlefield. I took a number of photos. It is amazing how a small hamlet community got caught in the most powerful battle of the Civil War that decided the future of our nation. Thousands of lives lost or forever changed by severe wounds. Civilians assisting where they could. Ms. Wade struck down while making bread to carry as support for those in the Union and previously bringing water. It has always impressed me of the Longstreet lines with Pickett's Charge where 15,000 men crossed over a mile into the teeth of cannon and rifle with fewer than 200 reaching the wall. If you have not been to the site it is worth the look. |

Well, again I wasn't able to get it done. Had several birthday parties this week, and yeah, I know that's an excuse. I like to get things done that I set up to do. I'll set a far date at two weeks, Sunday, May 10. Definitely by then, much sooner most probably. I'm sorry I hadn't gotten it yet. |

Wise, it is a really neat town, isn't it? And yes, the battle story is amazing. It looks like you took the tour of the Jenny Wade house? |
