Powerful story on redemption and salvation…
Cursed by a wizard Perdita lives out most of her time as mermaid. Yet if she can find a man who loves her, she can find the freedoms she longs for.
Thinking her only way to be free is to acquire love, she thinks it physical intimacy is her only way to break the curse, allowing her to retain a human form. Yet years of using her charms hasen’t given her any progress towards breaking her curse. Each time only leave her in despair, knowing she will inevitably go back to being a mermaid. As well as an isolated existence. Savion is drawn to a woman who is seems determined to seduce him. But his past has made him wary of the woman with curves. Yet why does he feel compelled to help a woman who will only bring trouble?
In an age where society teaches that love is just about sexual intimacy, it’s nice to see a refreshing take on not only Christian fiction, but Christian fantasy as well. I hope for a sequel, that continues the story, or maybe one where Forwin gets some serious reprimanding.
