Treachery...
This all started some time ago,
From dust to eternity we roamed,
Creating memories and memoirs,
Upon the battlefield of life...
...And when the harshest nights ended,
And the fort had been torn asunder,
We would dine,
Like a king and his council we dined...
I thought nothing could destroy such a bond,
Then tragedy...
An arrow darkened the sky,
as it pierced my body,
And as your bloody, fog covered figure stood above me,
I smiled...
Thinking the war, the pain and the suffering was over,
But as you drew your sword,
The burn of a thousand suns took over me...
