Epiphany (Within Internal War)...

For eternities I've wandered!
Retracing my footsteps to ancient doorways!
That lay dormant!
A portal, a rift in time!
Somewhere that will help me find!
Where I went wrong!
Where I strayed the path!
And in the dead of winter I roam!
Alone, searching for life!
A light!
To drag me from the gates of hell!
The ones I opened with my self sacrifices!
I marked the trails on my arms without restraint!
But it's hard to see, with soot covered eyes!
And as the ashes rain down!
The road fades!
Into the dead of a cold, shelterless winter!
Without her warmth, I am nothing!

But I must move!
For if I dont; the wolves will eat me!
The footprints I've left on my mind!
A world I've created!
Lead to the edge of an abyss!
It's now or never!
Kill or be killed!
Demons arise; from past failures!
In forms of chaos!
My footing is lost!
And again, I plunge!
Deep into the heart of a hateful chasm!
That erupts with a grudge!

An endless war is being fought!
In the sea of my mistakes!
My ship is sinking fast!
I must make it last!
Wave goodbye to sorrow!
Wave goodbye to the deserted morrow!
As he slips into the acidic depths!
Demons, monsters, beasts and wraiths consume!
Dine on his remnants!

And as I awake from my dream!
Palms sweating, heart racing!
The truth slaps me!

...I'll never escape myself...
...But I can win the war!...
