As some of you may or may not remember, I grew up in a funeral home. We always heard things, felt things, but no one ever actually saw anything. I don't know who started it, probably my step-dad, but we jokingly referred to our ghost as Mark after the original owner of the funeral home.
My parents sold the funeral home about six years ago. The new owner didn't live in it, he just ran the business. It's recently been sold again and the new owner is living in it once again,.
My parents went there recently for a funeral and the new owner pulled my step-dad aside and asked what the former owner, Mr. Carter, looked like. My step-dad had bought the funeral home from his widow, but had seen pictures of him. He told him he was on the short side, slight build, balding with a bit of grey hair. The new owner said, yeah, I've seen him. He'd come back to the funeral home after a long day and was sitting in the family room when a man matching that description appeared out of nowhere and walked across the room.
We were all so excited that he finally showed himself. My sister thinks he never showed himself to us because we all would have freaked out. I think he is lonely after having a family living there for many years and than living by himself, maybe he's happy someone is finally living there once again?? There was a family that rented the apartment above the funeral home for awhile, but my step-dad never wanted to ask them if they saw or heard anything so as not to scare them.
So anyway, I thought that was pretty cool that someone finally saw him after all these years.
