Date: 9/28/2014 7:16:00 AM From Authorid: 53427 I have had fibromyalgia for close to 10 years now. I cannot express just how much it has impacted my life. I tried all the fibro-approved medications, such as lyrica, savella, and cymbalta. None helped. The only thing that helps me at all is actual prescription pain meds. I have to go to a pain clinic once a month. And I get 3 Percocet 7.5mg a day. And even that doesn't completely stop the pain. I deal with it every day. But the meds make it so much easier. And I tell you what else helps. And that is forcing yourself to exercise. And I know that when you are hurting the last thing you want to do is exercise. But I have found that it helps diminish the pain. I bought a treadmill about 3 weeks ago, and at first I had to force myself to do it. And it hurt. But now, I'm on my 18th straight day of walking at least 2 miles. And my pain level is a lot lower than normal now. I wish you luck, and my heart goes out to you, fibromyalgia is no joke! It is painful. |
Date: 9/29/2014 1:15:00 PM From Authorid: 13283 You should try other things besides medication .The pharmacies make sure we all get sick so they can make billions off the sale of meds . God made a plant for every disease and affliction man has . You should try getting aid from a spiritual doctor and or healer . You would be surprised ! |
Date: 9/29/2014 7:27:00 PM From Authorid: 31765 I know exactly what you're going through. I can't take lyrics because of the side effects. So I take neurontin, which is another medication that helps with fibromyalgia and neuropathy. Don't take the advice from us here on sum. We aren't doctors but every one of us is willing to listen. You are definitely in my thoughts and if you ever need to talk we're here. |
Date: 9/30/2014 7:47:00 PM From Authorid: 22721 My cousin had it. She started lifting weights, and it eventually went away. |
Date: 10/21/2014 6:29:00 PM From Authorid: 4144 I have it and it sucks! I'm on Cymbalta now and it helps but one of the side effects (increase in blood sugar) has hit me hard. ive had to cut sugar and do all this diabetic stuff and its killing me. I have noticed the more rest I get the better I feel. took a 2 hour nap today and it helped a lot. also a warm bath with Epson salt at night is good too. and I bought a Baltic amber necklace (like the teething necklaces for babies) and I can tell if I go a day or two without wearing it. |
