sometimes we overlook..

Sometimes we can overlook certain things in our life that can have an extremely profound effect later on down the road. We never really notice the weight that is carried by something that seems so miniscule at the time, or we just may simply not care. I have learned alot over the course of my life, and have had to encounter situations that most could never fathom. Some people when faced with terrible hardship shutdown, they'll retreat inside themselves to hide from the pain or the possibility of a recurrence. This was me for a portion of my life. I cared only about hiding from the pain and being angry, to make others hurt like I was hurting inside. I've done many things that I still regret to this day, and I know that I will never be able to make up for some of them. Now I feel that I have a second chance with my two beautiful little girls. They are such pure, beautiful little souls, and I truly feel like I don't deserve something so great. I have been blessed more than I felt I ever should, and am so very thankful. I guess the point of this thing is to let people that are in the same place know that there is never an end to the road, you can always find the next right turn if you know where to look. Keep your head up, soldier on and always always find the good in things. Even the rockiest bottom can have a silver lining.

Date: 9/11/2014 11:34:00 PM  From Authorid: 998    Thank you for your insightful post. Many decades in my life, this post would have meant little. However this couple of years has been very different for us. The last line in your post was very important .. 'Keep your head up, soldier on and always always find the good in things. Even the rockiest bottom can have a silver lining.'

Thank you for sharing this with us. I will definitely use your advise.
