I think you have to look at a more bigger picture. Nature Vs Nurter. You have to look at the childs surroundings. Do they go to playschool? Do they have siblings? etc |

Ever heard of free will? Well sometimes a child will act out on its own...But its the parents who must teach the child how to behave. |

What one person sees as a wrong doing, another may not.....What one parent sees as a wrong doing, another parent may not. What a mum sees as a wrong doing, a dad may not.

I say its both. You can't blame it entirely on the parent. They are responsible for teaching the child morality and discipline. But as they say you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink. Sometimes, even kids that were well raised turn out bad. I am a true crime junkie, so I read about those cases all the time. And some of these serial killers had good childhoods. Jeffrey Dahmer comes to mind. Yes his parents did divorce so his childhood wasn't perfect. But they both were decent people that loved their son. |

I, too, agree with Kiki. We all have free will, so we all act of our own accord. But a parent must discipline a child and teach them right from wrong. Doesn't mean it always work. A "bad kid" doesn't necessarily mean bad parenting, but it also obviously doesn't necessarily mean good parent and inherent "badness" either. I work in a school system. I see both ("bad parents" and "bad kids" all the time. I guess you can't really know unless you're witness to the situation/circumstances a child is in.g |
