I'm A Rambling Man... or... woman... whatever.

Happy Tuesday everyone!!!! I hope all the USUSMers had super Memorial Days. My husband, son and I spent the afternoon at my in-laws, and they also had a couple who fostered me when I was itty bitty over. We had burgers, hot dogs, potato salad, chips, watermelon, lemon cake, and whoopie pies. My father in law also brought out a toy they had picked up for my kids. It's like a slingshot propeller? You pull back the propeller part, while holding on to this stick that has a rubber band attached. Pull it as far back as you can and then let go of the propeller. They go high AND far. Our yard is too small to use it, but we have three playgrounds near by. My daughter spent the weekend with my parents. She's been looking forward to it for awhile. But I'm excited for her to come home tonight. Her ninth birthday is coming up. I'm going to do a tie dye themed party for her, and she's only getting two gifts from me this year, maybe three if I can swing it. She'll be getting a 600 piece lego brick set. Not the kind that tell you "YOU MUST MAKE THIS!" but just, random bricks, so she'll be using her imagination. I'm also going to get her a cheap tablet that we can use for homeschooling projects, and then if I can swing it, I'll pick up some books at Goodwill. I can't believe she is going to be nine. It kills me. I remember the first night home after we left the hospital. Just staring at her, all night. She was and still is amazing. I'm still not healing from my messed up hip. I'm getting really sick of crutches and not being able to walk in stores. I'm only 31 (I think), it shouldn't be taking this long to heal. What are your plans for this summer? I live close to Massachusetts and they have something called Free Fun Fridays. Museaums, parks, etc, are free of charge, so another homeschooling mom and I plan on taking our 4 kids to Mass every week. There is one for the Eric Carle museum (I am a HUGE fan), Plimouth Plantation, The Discovery Museums... I'm a little excited. There is also free bowling, up to two games a day, all summer long, just a couple miles from my house, festivals, etc. So, I think we'll be busy. Alright. I think I've rambled long enough. Don't make me be the only rambler. Ramble along with me!!!

Date: 5/27/2014 3:53:00 PM  From Authorid: 42945    I love to hear how our friends on here are doing, and it sounds like you have it all under control with all your plans for daughters birthday...The Slingshot Propeller sounds like a lot of fun and I guess it would be not only for the children but adults to see as well lol...I'm glad that you and the family had a great Memorial Day and also sorry to hear that your hip is not healing too well..maybe will take quite some time, I wish you well...*cheers*
Date: 5/28/2014 7:09:00 AM  From Authorid: 28848    I'll be working, like every summer. I'm working part time right now and getting ready to add another full time job, plus selling on ebay and my other online side projects.
Date: 6/1/2014 4:35:00 PM  From Authorid: 46486    Go to Plymouth! I was born there. Gosh I love it.. that ocean & jetty walk, <3

My husband & I talked about possibly when we have children to home school them, but I don't know. I really do not care for the schools in my area.

I'm at work half asleep so rambling ain't an option, lol. I had to come in for 2:30pm, well I am scheduled at 3pm but it's to hectic at 3pm so I offer to punch in early on Sunday's and usually I am here til after 11pm. I get to go home after work and my roommate will be sleeping and more than likely my husband because he has to work at 6am. So a house all alone when I get home, probably battle insomnia sleep for four hours wake up at 6ish go to the Clinic come home slip in and oughta a coma and yeah... word. lol
