Fungi in the Reserve...

We've been experiencing a beautiful Autumn here in my part of the world.  With the warm sun, and the moist ground, fungi are loving it.

I went for a walk with my camera through one of the local reserves Friday afternoon....

Date: 5/26/2014 1:45:00 AM  From Authorid: 998    Wow, these are wonderful photos of mushrooms! We live in a moist area most of the year, so we see mushrooms popping up in the oddest of places. On trees and in many areas of our forested property. I dare not eat any, because I am not proficient in the knowledge of what is good to eat, and what isn't.

I just love mushrooms! They are so delicate, yet so resilient. Yummy and delicious too.

you know there are alot of people who pick them, but what they don't realize - that if they pick all mushrooms, they won't grrow back, so what people should do is when you rinse the mushrooms, take the water back out to the woods and dump water. This way mushrooms will re grow. The seeds are in the caps
