Without Regret


Up and down and down again,
Hold on to the love I know,
Life comes and goes where I’ve been,
Feel the tears within my soul,
Do what I can within my might,
I gave it all to sacrifice,
I remember tears in the night,
Heart of stone grown cold as ice,

Falling down and begin again,
Moving on from there to here,
Fists on the door pound to come in,
Resist the deep eternal fear,
Turn around and around as I go,
Courage to open a heart once more,
If I don’t take a chance then I won’t know,
Faith pushes me though the open door,

In my perception I can’t help but believe,
I don't understand the lover’s game,
Fear of deception for what to receive,
I find love in the saying of your name,
Without pretense I can but yield,
What has grown inside screams truth,
It is your love that makes me healed,
It comes fresh within a bloom of youth,

Every time I look into your eyes,
My heart says this love’s not a threat,
Faith and chance let me realize,
Just believe in this love without regret,
